Child Protection Policy
Everyone has a responsibility to protect children and young people from harm.
Some children can be at risk of neglect, emotional harm, physical abuse and sexual abuse in any environment including with close family members as well as strangers.
The Management Committee of the Club
- Fully endorse the contents of this document
- Will ensure any allegations or suspicions relating to children and young people will be dealt with swiftly and appropriately
- Will work to promote good practice.
Raising a Concern
If you are concerned about a child or young person you have a legal duty to raise that concern.
If you are concerned that a child or young person is in an emergency situation you should contact the police urgently on 999.
If you have a concern about a child please contact the Cumbria Safeguarding Hub on 0333 240 1727.
Please inform the Club Welfare Officers of any concerns. They will be able to support you to raise your concern or raise it on your behalf.
