DH Runners Club Championship
Each year we will be holding a Club Championship for all our members.
The purpose of the Championship is to allow all members to compete at a series of events and gain points towards being crowned club champion.
Points will be awarded on the WAVA grading system which seeks to give credit for performances based on age and gender. If you look at the parkrun results each week you will see a column that gives your performance as a % for your own age and gender. Therefore everyone has an opportunity to compete for the top prize. To explain if you score a 60% score you will accumulate 60 points from that event, and the final placings will be determined by the most points gained over the series of events.
However, these events also give us the chance of have a great time together as a group of runners representing all that DH stands for.
The events range from a 5K parkrun to a marathon.
To qualify to compete in the Championship you must be a fully paid up running member of DH Runners by the date of the first event.
The events will be decided each year by the Club Captains.
We hope that all members will want to support these events and to have fun along the way with your club colleagues.
