CHAIR REPORT NOV 2016
I’d like to start by thanking everyone here today, as well as our committee, run leaders, club captains and all members and volunteers.
The AGM coincides with our 4th birthday as a club and our 2nd as an England Athletics affiliated club.
We currently have 160 members.
EVH - £300 raised online and Emma Richardson has raised approx. £600 via her own fundraising page
KSP - £287 raised online. When they visited in April we raised £200 and donated 5 desks. Matt Begg has also raised approx. £200 via his own fundraising page.
Notable Performances
Website
The committee approved expenditure to upgrade the website and as a result is much improved. Members can now order kit and renew memberships online.
Kit
We’ve introduced a high-viz training top and a new ladies vest – both as a result of member feedback and requests. We have also ordered mugs and buffs. All items have increased in price by £1 because of increases at the suppliers.
Next 12 months
We are constantly looking to improve what we offer to our members. We are always open to suggestions and feedback.
Thank you for being a member of DH Runners

TUES GROUP REPORT NOV 2016
There’s not much to be said other than Tues is obviously the best club night as I’m there……..
We have a core of around 30 regulars and numbers are quite often into the high 40’s, with the Time Trial twice this year attracting 60 or more runners. We have had just shy of 300 different runners attend the Tues club run over the last 18 months. Earlier in the year I was tracking who attended the most to feed the stat geek in me and work out who was getting the most for their membership…….but I got hooked on Grey’s Anatomy and I had 12 seasons to catch up by the start of this month………..I even set a day aside for route planning to free up my evenings for viewing. I hope you all enjoy the Tues sessions and I’m always open to suggestions for routes if you are getting bored.
There are alot of Thurs runners we would love to see on a Tues, so to try and bridge the gap between the 2 groups we will be starting a Wed evening speed based session. The sessions will be planned around very short routes on a timed effort basis to keep us together but allow the group to cater to any level of runner.
Some Stats:
Thanks
Progression
Our 4th anniversary of the Tues session is in February and I’m open to suggestions for what we can do to celebrate.
Please let us know if you have any feedback.

Thursday Group Report Nov 2016
This report covers the second year of the Thurs group. Our aims are to consistently support new and beginner runners. This year Andy, Nina and I were joined by Simon Dolman as a qualified run leader.
We have had over 300 different runners attend the sessions – luckily, not all at once! This includes 3 You Can Run (YCR) courses (Jan 2016 run by myself, April by Nina and October by Simon) where we have had a total of 113 first timers.
The group has tried different structures this year with us most recently reverting to offering 5k only with the opportunity for runbacks rather than loops. This year we had a 401 Challenge virtual run where we invited runners from other clubs. Over 90 runners attended and including individuals fundraising the virtual challenge with us raised over £900. Also, this year Natalie, Michael, Brian and Adrienne have also joined the Thurs group as qualified run leaders. On behalf of all of us I would like to say a massive thank you for all your support. Thanks also to our volunteers this year (Frances, Andy, Michelle, Sarah, Helen, Nicola, Kathryn, Karen, Mark, Kirsty). Sorry if I’ve forgotten anyone!
Plans for 2017:
More social events
Route votes
YCR retention rate exploration
YCR Jan 5th
