DH Runners – Results Round-up

Note: Recently some runners have submitted parkrun times through the website, there is no need to do this as parkrun is not a race and we don’t include the results on this page!
On Saturday 7th April Rosie Holliday took part in the Kielder Ultra 50K, finishing in an impressive time of 05:55:22
On Sunday 8th April there were 2 events with DH participation; the first was the Greater Manchester Marathon. The results were:

The second event on Sunday 8th April was the Sport in Action 3 Villages 10 Mile Race. A big group of DH Runners took part in this event. There were 3 prize winners amongst the team with Stephen Weston picking up the MV40 category then Bethany Duffy and Haydn Bryson picking up the F & M U20 category prizes. Even more impressive considering that this was the first time that Bethany had ever run 10 miles and it was Haydn’s first ever race!

The first event of the DH club championship, Keswick Round the Houses, took place on Wednesday 11th April.

On the 14th April David MacGillivray was in Northumbria taking part in the Cragside 10k. He finished in 2nd place for his age category with a time 00:46:47.
On Sunday 15th April Steve Claringbold took part in the Lancaster 3 Bridges 10K, Steve finished in an impressive 34th place with a time of 00:42:52. He was very pleased with his medal…..
Sunday 15th April Martin Grey competed in the 1500m at the Border Harriers Open Track & Field Meeting. He finished the race in 00:05:37
On Sunday 22nd April Martin also took part in the Brigham 10K, he finished in a time of 00:44:29 on a windy and hilly course.
There were 3 runners taking part in the Blackpool Marathon Festival on the weekend of 21st/22nd April
On Saturday 21st Chelsey Pryce took part in the 10K event, finishing in a time of 01:23:44.
On Sunday 22nd April Paul Todd ran in the Full Marathon, finishing in a time of 04:36:57.
Also on Sunday Ian Harkness claimed a 3rd place finish in the Half Marathon with a time of 01:17:54.
Sunday 22nd was the second big marathon day of the month for club runners with several members taking on the heat and Mo Farrah in The London Marathon. The results were:

On Saturday 28th April Michael Holliday competed in the Highland Fling, a 53 mile Ultra Trail Marathon through Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park in Scotland. He finished in an absolutely fantastic time of 08:22:47 (14th place out of 673 runners!)
